Our innovative approach caters to bars, restaurants, hotels, and other businesses, providing a reliable and sustainable solution for glass waste management.

How Our Glass Recycling Works

At Yo-Waste, we ensure that all collected glass is handled with care and processed to the highest standards. Here’s a quick look at our process:

1. Collection: We pick up glass waste from businesses across Kampala, ensuring a hassle-free experience for our clients. Our scheduled collections are timely and convenient, allowing businesses to focus on their operations.
2. Sorting: At our facility in Namanve Industrial Park, the collected glass undergoes a meticulous sorting process. Our team separates the glass by type and color, which is essential for maintaining the quality of the recycled material.
3. Processing: The sorted glass is cleaned to remove labels and impurities before being crushed into glass cullet. This processed glass can be repurposed into new bottles and other glass products, supporting a circular economy.
4. Raw Material Supply: The crushed glass cullet is then supplied to our manufacturing partners, who use it to create new glass products. This closed-loop process significantly reduces the need for raw materials, saving energy and resources.

2. Glass Sorting: Each piece of glass is carefully sorted by our trained staff. Sorting by color and type is crucial for the recycling process, helping us produce high-quality cullet that meets the needs of our manufacturing partners.
3. Glass Processing: After sorting, the glass is processed into cullet and glass sand. This material is ready for recycling into new glass products, minimizing waste and promoting sustainability.

How Does Yo-Waste Recycle Glass

We offer two services for glass recycling:- 

1. Subscription-Based Pickup

Our team will pick up glass from your site once a month and take it to our recycling facility for further sorting, crushing, and delivery to our glass recycling partner – the glass manufacturer.

2. One-Time Glass Pickup

We can also pick up your glass on an ad-hoc basis and take it to our recycling facility for further sorting, crushing, and delivery to our glass recycling partner.
